Our Beliefs

-
We believe that the Bible is the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. At Liberty we use the King James Version in our classes and in our preaching because we believe it is the most accurate translation available today. (2 Tim 3:15-17; 1 Thess 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
-
We believe there is only one true God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God Holy Spirit. (Deut 6:4; Isa 43:10-11; Matt 28:18-20; Luke 3:22)
-
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutional death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father and His personal return in power and glory one day. (Matt 1:23, 28:6; Luke 1:31-32, 24:39; Acts 2:22, 10:37-38; 1 Cor 15:3-6; 2 Cor 5:21-6:1; Phil 2:9-11; Heb 1:3, 7:26-27)
-
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity, the Agent of conviction, regeneration, indwelling, baptism, sanctification, and illumination of all who are born into God’s family through Jesus Christ. (John 3:5–6; Eph. 1:13–14).
-
We believe the Bible regarding Satan, who rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven with a host of angels who followed him. He introduced sin to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. He continues to turn people from truth and against God. Eternal hell was created for Satan, his demons, and people who do not believe in the Lord Jesus. Christ for salvation (Gen. 3:1–13; Isa. 14:13–15; Matt. 25:41; John 3:16; 1 Pet. 5:8; Rev. 20:15).
-
We believe that Christ’s blood, shed on Calvary, is the only Atonement for man’s sin and that salvation from eternal damnation is a free gift of God for “whosoever will”; it is by grace, through faith, with repentance and nothing else. Salvation is received only by a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work. We do not believe God pre-elect’s persons to heaven or hell. (John 14:6; Rom. 10:13; 1 Pet. 1:18–19, 1 John 1:9; Rev. 22:17).
-
We believe that those who have placed their faith in Christ are eternally secure and nothing can remove them from being God’s Child through salvation. (John 10:27–28, Romans 8:37-39; Eph. 2:8–10).
-
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life in heaven, and those that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation in a literal lake of fire. (John 5:28–29; 1 Cor. 15:12–20, 35–58; Rev. 20:10, 15).
-
We believe in the imminent, Pre-Tribulation return of Jesus Christ for all believers, and that the Rapture of the saints will be followed by a literal seven-year Tribulation, after which Christ will return in glory to judge the world and set up His millennial reign on earth. (Rom 10:12-13; Eph 2:8-10, 4:24; Rom 8:16; Titus 2:11 -12, 3:4-8; 1 Thes. 4:13–17; Rev. 20:1–3, 21:1–5)
-
We believe that God created the church for the spiritual unity of the body of Christ. It is composed of born-again believers who have by faith accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. God has ordained the local church for the perpetuation of His truth as well as to work together to see God’s work in the world accomplished. (Eph. 2:8–22, 3:1–21, 4:4–16, 5:23–32)
-
We believe the Great Commission of the church is to go into the entire world and preach the Gospel to every person. (Matt 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 14:23; Acts 1:7-8; 1 Tim. 3:15).
-
We believe the two ordinances of the local church are baptism by immersion and a regular observance of the Lord’s Supper by believers. (Ps 133:1; Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 11:23–28; Eph 4:11-13; Phil 2:1-3)
-
We believe we must dedicate ourselves anew to the service of our Lord and to His authority over our lives through daily devotions, personal service to God, and being a member and serving through the local church. (Acts 2:41-47; Eph 6:7-8; Col 2:9-11)
Our Values

-
We trust in God: Our faith, trust, and hope is in Christ alone. God's Word is the only truth that can guide our decisions, refresh our lives, and create an unshakable faith. Our dependence on God is reflected in our commitment to prayer and the scriptures.
-
We want to create an extraordinary impact: We serve an extraordinary God who deserves our all. He allows us to serve Him so that we can proclaim His life-changing message.
-
We desire to be a friendly church: We want people to experience, as we have, how much God loves people.
-
Our desire is the learn, improve, and grow: Therefore we are passionate, creative, and tend to have fun so we challenge and stretch ourselves, each other, and the ministry so that God can use each one of us.
-
All we do is for Him: It is for the cause of Christ and the Glory of God that we exist.
