History of the Church

In 1986, Liberty held it's first service at the Days Inn in Speedway. Our first Sunday service was on Thanksgiving Sunday and we had 32 people! The church moved to a Go-Kart facility in 1987 where they continued to expand. LBC started to hold services at the YWCA in 1988 and remained there for 5 years.

In 1993, God gave Liberty a miracle and moved us to our present location, giving us an existing church building on 3.5 acres of land. When we held our first service in the new building we burned the mortgage papers!

In 2000, the church added Pastor Steve and Deana Stone as our Youth & Associate Pastor.

We launched our AWANA program in 2001 and our Upward Basketball ministry in 2002. Soccer and Football followed in 2006 and 2007 respectively.

In 2002, the members saw the need to "Rise Up and Build", tripling the existing size of our facilities by adding a Gym, Kitchen, Garage, 15 classrooms and an office complex. God allowed this expansion to happen after we were able to purchase another 6 acres adjoining our property. Soccer and softball fields were developed as well.

August 2005 marked the beginning of the Liberty Kids Preschool and Daycare ministry with 3 full-time teachers and classrooms.
